The Warren County Strategic Vision (11/30/18) was approved by the County Board of Supervisors. The document (with appendices) is available here A news story is available here.
Planning helps us make decisions today with an eye towards our future. The strategic vision will help the Board of Supervisors confidently make decisions with our community’s desired future in mind. The strategic vision also sets direction for an update to the County’s Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Plan is the County’s official policy guide for future development related decisions. It is long range in nature and provides a picture of how the community wishes to develop over the next 15-20 years.
The County will use the strategic vision to show how it wants to thrive and grow in the future. This will provide confidence to the private and public sector about where their investments will be most productive, while also preserving our County’s most valued natural and cultural resources.
This plan was not developed alone. We asked everyone that cares about the future of Warren County to get involved. Many of you attended meetings or responded to the survey, and we thank you for your involvement. We encourage you to stay tuned for other opportunities to share your ideas as part of the update of the County’s Comprehensive Plan that follows this strategic vision plan.
